The MS-1600 PC prints and contour-cuts 1.6 m vinyl on one machine. Two staggered Epson i3200-E1 heads reach 100 m²/h in two-pass draft; for contract-quality work, 49 m²/h at four passes is the honest number. The cutting unit runs at 300 mm/s with blade force settable from 10 to 450 gf and repeats a contour to within ±0.2 mm. A three-roll changer lets shops that alternate between cast vinyl and backlit queue jobs without stopping the machine.

01

ContourSync Print and Cut

Register marks laid down during printing are re-read optically before cutting and the blade path is corrected against the measured deviation. Vinyl that changed size on its way through the heaters is the real source of register error in this class; the correction comes from measurement, not from the file.

02

TriZone Heat Path

Pre-heat, platen and post-dry are set independently. On a machine that also cuts, drying is not only a quality question — ink that has not set smears under the blade and destroys edge definition.

03

MavenFlow White Circulation

White ink circulates through the channel even while the machine sits idle. White ships in a 500 ml pack; the smaller pack is not a shortcoming, it is an admission of how fast white settles.

04

TensionLock Roll Tension

Each reel in the three-roll changer runs on its own tension loop. Cutting is far more sensitive to tension change than printing is; without constant pull, ±0.2 mm contour repeatability is a number that lives only on paper.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the MS-1600 PC right for, and what is it wrong for?

Right for shops producing contour-cut work — labels, decals, vehicle lettering, window graphics. Wrong if most of your volume is large-format banner and poster: the cutter would idle, and the same money buys a wider, faster line in the MS-1802 E4.

Is 100 m²/h real?

It is, in two-pass draft. For contract-quality work plan on four passes and 49 m²/h; close-read vehicle lettering takes you to six passes and 33 m²/h. That is why we publish four rows instead of one headline figure.

How well does the cutting accuracy hold in practice?

The machine repeats a contour to ±0.2 mm, but that figure assumes dimensionally stable material. Vinyl leaving the heaters shrinks as it cools; on long runs, letting a print rest 20–30 minutes before cutting does more than any setting can. That is material physics, not a defect.

Should I buy this instead of a separate cutting plotter?

Look at your volume. Print-and-cut is serial on one machine: while it cuts, it is not printing. If your daily queue does not fill the machine, print-and-cut saves both floor space and money. If it does, a separate printer and a separate cutter measurably raise total output.

How useful is white ink on this machine?

It rescues work on clear film and labels destined for dark surfaces, but the white channel both costs speed and demands regular use. If you will print white less than once a week, do not open the channel at all — idle white costs more than white you actually print.
