DTF Pigment Inks

Maven MI-710 DTF

Water-based pigment ink for DTF systems running Epson i3200-A1 and i1600-A1 heads

Switch & Swap

The system must be flushed before changeover. Mixing chemistries risks the head.

Colour Channels

  • C Cyan MI-710-C
  • M Magenta MI-710-M
  • Y Yellow MI-710-Y
  • K Black MI-710-K
  • W White MI-710-W

The MI-710 is the water-based pigment ink a DTF system lays onto PET film. Viscosity of 4.0 cps ±0.5 at 25 °C and 30 ±3 dyn/cm surface tension keep drop formation stable on Epson i3200-A1 heads, and the pH 9.0 ±0.5 band delays nozzle blockage. White uses the SedimentGuard dispersion, but its shelf life is six months and circulation is mandatory. Colours ship in 1 litre bottles, white in 900 ml pouches. With matched powder and film, wash fastness reaches ISO 105-C06 grade 4 or better.

  • SedimentGuard White Dispersion — colour pigments sit at 100–150 nm and white is held to a D50 of 200–250 nm, with dispersing surfactants slowing settling. It does not extend the six-month shelf life; it saves the head on a machine that sits over a weekend.
  • AquaBase Single Carrier — CMYK and white are built on the same carrier chemistry, so printing colour and white in one pass produces no separation between the layers and no white bleeding past the edge.
  • NozzleSafe Idle Resistance — nozzles left uncapped for 20 minutes at 25 °C and 50 %RH recover in a single purge. That does not extend to a head left uncapped overnight; the capping station has to work.
  • SoftHand Feel — paired with MD-PWD 170 soft powder and a 150–160 °C / 10–15 s press window, the transfer stays flexible after washing instead of stiffening into a plate on the garment.
  • MavenMatch Profile Pack — ICC profiles and ink limits ship ready for the MD-600 A4 + MD-FILM 600 + MD-PWD 170 combination. Move to another brand of film and the profile must be rebuilt; the film coating changes ink absorption directly.

Adhesion, stretch and fastness vary with fabric type, pre- and post-treatment, and press temperature and pressure. The figures here are laboratory reference values measured with MD-FILM 600 film and MD-PWD 170 powder, not a warranty. Run a test on your own fabric at your own press settings before committing to production.
