01 — PRODUCT
MD-PWD 170 is the polyurethane-based hot-melt powder applied over printed film in a DTF system. Its 80–170 micron soft grade is the most balanced point between hand and adhesion. The powder melts at around 110 °C in the oven, cures at 150–160 °C, and transfers to the garment in 10–15 seconds under the press. The same series also covers a fine 0–80 micron and a coarse 120–250 micron grade. It ships in 1, 5 and 20 kg sacks; powder that picks up moisture cakes and blocks the shaker.
- GradeSelect Three Grades — MD-PWD 80 fine (0–80 µm) for thin lines, small type and lace-like detail; MD-PWD 170 soft (80–170 µm) as the standard for everyday apparel; MD-PWD 250 coarse (120–250 µm) for heavy fabric, bags and high-stretch pieces. The same film with the same ink gives a different result on a different grade.
- MeltPoint 110 — the powder melts at about 110 °C and cures at 150–160 °C. Set the oven against the cure range, not the melt point: powder that has melted but not cured looks glossy off the press and lifts at the first wash.
- SoftHand Feel — paired with MI-710 DTF ink, the transfer flexes with the garment instead of stiffening after washing. Most stiffness comes from excess powder, so keeping the shaker's recovery sieve clean does more than changing powder brand.
- FlowDry Moisture Resistance — a flow additive keeps the powder passing cleanly through the sieve and slows caking while it sits in the hopper. This is not a moisture barrier claim: an open sack still takes up humidity, just more slowly.
- PowderLine Compatibility — the sieve mesh and air curtain of the MD-600 A4 vertical shaker are set for the 80–170 µm band. Finer powder drifts in the air curtain and coarser powder bridges on the sieve, so machine and powder are chosen together.

Hand, stretch and wash durability vary with fabric, powder quantity, oven temperature and press settings. The figures here are reference values measured with MD-FILM 600 film and MI-710 DTF ink, not a warranty. When you change grade, re-validate your oven and press settings.
