MD-FILM 600 is the single-side coated PET transfer film used in DTF systems. It ships 60 cm wide, in 100 metre rolls, at 75 micron. There are two variants: MD-FILM 600-C cold peel and MD-FILM 600-H hot peel. Only one face is coated — printed on the reverse, the job holds no powder and will not transfer. The anti-static back face reduces blocking and dust pickup on the roll. When the film changes, ink absorption changes with it and the profile has to be rebuilt.

  • PeelSet Two Variants — 600-H hot peel comes off the moment the press opens and lifts shift throughput noticeably; 600-C cold peel waits until the film is below 40 °C but holds fine type and sharp edges more reliably. The two coatings differ and cannot be mixed within a job.
  • InkHold Single-Side Coating — ink only anchors on the coated face. A water drop identifies it: the drop beads on the coated side and spreads on the reverse. Printed on the wrong face the job carries no powder and you only find out at the oven — the classic first-day mistake.
  • FlatFeed Curl Resistance — the 75 micron PET carrier holds its dimension at oven temperature and does not ripple on the take-up shaft. Film stretches as it heats, and the thinner the carrier, the more that stretch turns into misregistration between colour and white.
  • AntiStatic Back Face — the reverse is treated against static build-up. In a dry shop, statically charged film both attracts dust and blocks against itself on the roll; either one shows up as speckling in the transfer.
  • MavenMatch Profile Pack — ICC profiles and ink limits are ready for the MD-600 A4 + MI-710 DTF + MD-PWD 170 combination. Move to another film and the profile must be rebuilt — that is a requirement, not a preference.

Curing Method Heat cure
Transfer Temperature 150–160 °C
Transfer Time 10–15 s
Shelf Life 12 months — 12 months in the original packaging, stored upright below 60 %RH. The coating takes up moisture: a roll left in a damp store ripples at the edge, tracks unevenly on the feed and shifts the colour layer against the white. Do not stack rolls on their side — a crushed core never feeds flat.

Peel behaviour, edge definition and wash durability vary with the ink, powder, oven temperature and press settings used. The figures here are reference values measured with MI-710 DTF ink and MD-PWD 170 powder, not a warranty. Run a one-metre test print when you change rolls or take in a new batch.
